SSC Napoli 3 - 0 Frosinone Calcio — Highlights & Result

After finishing runners-up in Serie A last season with seventy-six points, Napoli found themselves chasing the early pace on matchday six as they hosted Frosinone on 10 October 2026. The visitors arrived in higher spirits, having started the day sixth in the standings with ten points from five played, while the hosts sat three spots further back. Frosinone brought a four-match unbeaten run into the contest, though that sequence came to a halt as Kevin De Bruyne opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 29th minute. Noa Lang doubled the advantage just three minutes later, and De Bruyne struck again in the 90th minute with an assist from Giovane to seal a 3-0 scoreline.

This encounter continued a historical trend where Frosinone struggles to defeat their opponents, echoing a previous 3-1 away loss in August 2023 alongside a more recent 2-2 draw. Despite an even match on the pitch that saw Frosinone register seventeen shots to Napoli's nineteen, the hosts proved far more accurate with eight shots on target compared to just one for the visitors. Kevin De Bruyne earned the highest rating of the day with an 8.6, while Noa Lang supported him effectively with an 8.2 rating.

The outcome completely flipped the relative positions of the two clubs in the twenty-team division. Napoli rose to sixth place with this result, leapfrogging their opponents who dropped down to ninth place. Both clubs now sit six points behind the league leaders Inter, who currently pace the table with sixteen points.

Napoli next play away at Villarreal on 13 October, while Frosinone return home to face Sassuolo on 16 October.
