OGC Nice 1 - 1 Le Mans FC — Highlights & Result

OGC Nice finished 16th in the previous Ligue 1 season with 32 points, while Le Mans FC are now sharing the early battles of the division. On matchday 3 of the current term, a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Riviera left both clubs locked on 2 points apiece. Adil Bourabaa opened the scoring for the visitors in the 13th minute, assisted by J. Vercruysse. Elye Wahi later drew Nice level just before the break in the 44th minute, turning in a pass from S. Diop. The statistics reflected a balanced contest where Nice held 58 percent of the possession and registered eight total shots, matching Le Mans on attempts while finishing with two shots on target to their opponents' three. Elye Wahi stood out for the hosts with a 7.9 rating, while Adil Bourabaa matched that 7.9 score to lead the visitors.

Nice entered this fixture carrying a difficult run that stretched back into last season, leaving them without a victory across ten consecutive matches in all competitions. Their recent league outings had yielded heavy defeats, such as a 3-0 loss away at Paris FC, alongside multiple stalemates and another reverse away at Auxerre. Le Mans arrived following a mixed start to the new term that included a narrow 3-2 defeat away at Stade Rennais and a high-scoring home draw against Brest. These early results kept both sides hovering near the bottom of the standings as September began.

Following the final whistle, the overall table sees OGC Nice move up to 15th position, while Le Mans FC advance one place to 13th. Both teams currently sit seven points behind the early league leaders Monaco, who set the pace at the summit of the 18-team division with 9 points.

Nice will next travel to play away at Auxerre on 12 September, while Le Mans return home to face RC Lens on 13 September.
