Inter extended a scoring streak stretching across ten consecutive matches in all competitions in a wild eight-goal contest on Serie A matchday 4. J. Abankwah and J. Ekkelenkamp initially put the visitors ahead, but Carlos Augusto, N. Barella, M. Thuram, F. Esposito, and A. Bonny turned the fixture around before I. Gueye added a late reply. The victory pushed the reigning champions from fourth up to second place in the standings.
Inter arrived with a strong start to the domestic term, whereas Udinese had experienced mixed outcomes across their opening fixtures. Historical encounters between the clubs recently favoured the Milan side, though Udinese had taken a victory here on 31 August 2025. Standout performers included N. Barella and M.
