Recent meetings at this ground have delivered contrasting fortunes, ranging from a heavy four-goal defeat for the hosts in early 2025 to a narrow home victory in January 2026. Across their last four encounters overall, the head-to-head record showed two wins for the hosts and one for the visitors alongside a single draw.
The hosts finished the previous season in second place with seventy points, while the visitors placed fifteenth with thirty-four points. Entering this Ligue 1 matchday one fixture on 22 August 2026, the visitors carried a scoring streak stretching across five matches and a run of three consecutive wins. That visitors' streak included a notable victory away at Lille, though their recent history also featured a multi-goal defeat against Olympique Lyon. This seven-goal contest leaves the visitors three points behind the early league leaders, a group of four teams headed by Marseille after the opening round of fixtures.
Next up, the visitors return home to face Angers SCO on 29 August.
