Málaga CF 1 - 1 RC Deportivo La Coruña — Highlights & Result

Sevilla FC currently leads the twenty-team Primera Division standings on six points, leaving Málaga sitting five points off the summit after sharing the spoils on matchday two. Deportivo La Coruña find themselves just four points behind the early pace-setters following the stalemate. For the hosts, the single point proved enough to lift them away from the foot of the table, moving them up to sixteenth place.

Málaga arrived at this August fixture looking to bounce back from an opening weekend defeat away at Atlético Madrid, where they fell by two goals without reply. Deportivo made the journey aiming to build upon their previous outing, having opened their league schedule with a score draw at home against Elche.

Looking ahead to the upcoming weekend schedule, Málaga face a daunting trip to the capital to play away at Real Madrid on the thirtieth of August. Meanwhile, Deportivo return to their home stadium for their next fixture, welcoming Valencia on the same day.
