Fulham FC 2 - 3 Crystal Palace FC — Highlights & Result

After both clubs finished comfortably in the upper half of the table last season—with Fulham in 11th on 52 points and Crystal Palace right behind in 15th with 45—this early-season meeting on 5 September 2026 produced a dramatic five-goal shift. Tyrick Mitchell struck twice for the visitors, including an equaliser early in the second half, before B. Chilwell netted the decisive goal in the 77th minute with an assist from D. Kamada. J. King and C. Palacios had twice put Fulham ahead during the first half, backed by a dominant 64 percent possession and 25 shots, but the hosts ultimately fell 3-2. That left Fulham dropping from 16th to 18th in the table, while Crystal Palace bounced from 18th up to 13th.

The visitors arrived on 5 September having endured a difficult stretch that included a three-match losing streak and a run of nine consecutive matches without a win across all competitions, alongside an opening league defeat by a 1-4 scoreline against Man City. Fulham entered the fixture also seeking their first points of the new league term following defeats like their 2-3 result against Chelsea.

Recent history between the sides had proved remarkably balanced, featuring three draws in their last six meetings, though Crystal Palace had claimed a 2-1 away victory here on 7 December 2025. In this latest encounter, standout performances dictated the pitch, led by Crystal Palace's Tyrick Mitchell with an 8.9 match rating and Fulham's Joshua King earning an 8.2.

Following this result, Fulham sit nine points behind league leaders Man City, while Crystal Palace trail the summit by six points. Fulham will next play away at Liverpool on 12 September.
