ACF Fiorentina 1 - 2 Torino FC — Highlights & Result

Stalemate had been the theme of recent meetings between these two sides, with four draws shared across their previous six encounters, including a scoreless stalemate here in August 2025. Neither club could find separation in the head-to-head record over that span, leaving every fixture delicately balanced. That equilibrium finally broke on September 5, 2026, as Torino edged a 2–1 victory on matchday 3 of the Serie A season.

The visitors arrived having failed to win any of their previous four matches across all competitions, though they kept up a steady scoring touch by finding the net in five straight outings. Meanwhile, the hosts struggled through a difficult stretch that left them without a win in three matches across all competitions, including a heavy home defeat against Frosinone. Despite controlling just 39 percent of the possession and generating fewer shots overall, the hosts threatened through Mateo Pellegrino, who earned a standout 7.7 rating after breaking the deadlock just after halftime in the 47th minute with an assist from R. Dragusin.

Torino responded after the interval as R. Mandragora delivered a standout 8.3 performance, equalising in the 73rd minute from an assist by E. Comert before C. Adams completed the turnaround in the 82nd minute with help from R. Belghali. Lucas Perri contributed a 7.5 rating in goal to protect the advantage through the closing stages. The outcome lifted Torino from 14th to 13th in the table, placing them four points behind the early league leaders, Como 1907.

Following this result, Torino prepare to play at home against Roma on September 14.
